Golf is a joke: The funniest golfers on social media

Golf is such a frustrating (but still great!) game, sometimes you just have to laugh. And if you want a good golf laugh, there are a bunch of social-media golf-content creators worth following. Here's my ranking. (These are all original-content creators. I have not included golf-meme accounts and golf social-media channels that merely aggregate golf humor from others.)

1st place: St. Andre Golf

This ensemble cast, led by Aaron Chewning, produces consistently funny video observations of the finer points of golf – from golfer's tans, to iron covers, to duffing shots, to sadistic starters.

The crew has been successful in getting sponsor partnerships, producing their brand of comedy for what are ads, but are as funny as their regular videos – like the one below with FiveIron Golf. Also great are the videos for Bridgestone Golf (some featuring Tiger Woods) and PGA SuperStore.

2nd place: Conor Moore

Irish comedian and impressionist Conor Moore is a treat to watch. You can find his golf sketches on Youtube and Instagram, and his Conor Moore Show on GolfPass (featuring an ensemble cast). Besides golf comedy, he also makes fun of F1 racing and World Cup football.

3rd place: Officially Sonny

"Sonny" (a.k.a. Mike Kollet) may not be for everyone, but I think his deadpan golf humor is hysterical. He channels an amateur golf addict with observations that sometimes will hit home if "addict" describes you. He's currently on a nationwide "tour" driving an ice cream truck for TopGolf.

4th place: Front Porch Dad

Comedian Tyler Jarry's online video shorts feature a quirky dad commenting on a variety of topics, but golf is one of his most common.

5th place: Club Pro Guy

If you've ever been a member of a golf club (or you're a golf-course pro), you'll find some laughs here. Club Pro Guy lampoons the absurdity of golf-course members, staff, and policies.

6th place: Mood Swings Golf

Comedians Trey Kennedy and Jake Triplett post video skits about the highs and lows of golf. Some of their skits are hysterical, while others miss the mark.

Coming soon

And while on the topic of golf humor, watch for the upcoming GOLF with Will Ferrel, expected perhaps later this year or at the latest 2025 on Netflix. That's something to look forward to!
