American Dunes Golf Club

A Jack Niklaus designed course with a patriotic theme. Set amid towering pines and sweeping sand dunes, it features a rolling layout with dramatic elevation changes. The course honors American military heroes and supports the Folds of Honor charity.

Anchorage Golf Course

Located on the lower hillside of South Anchorage, the course offers a beautifully sculpted layout and dramatic views. The stunning backdrop is framed by views of the Chugach Mountain Range, the Anchorage city skyline, Cook Inlet, and Denali. The golf season runs from early May through mid-October.

Angel Park Golf Club

Angel Park features 2 spectacular Arnold Palmer-designed 18-hole courses: the Mountain and the Palm. While not inexpensive, these are among the rare quality Vegas courses that come in under $200. Avoid the summer months, unless you tee off very early in the morning.

Annbriar Golf Course

Golf Digest has rated Annbriar as one of America’s Top 500 “Places to Play.” It is ranked 7th in the state of Illinois. Golfweek Magazine annually votes Annbriar as one of the “Best Golf Courses” in the state.

Arcadia Bluffs South Course

The course is 1 mile south of the existing Arcadia Bluffs course (which is too pricey to make our under-$200 list). It has enough topographic relief to allow for varying lies, and contains sandy soils for firm and fast conditioning.

Avalon Field Club at New Castle

The golf course was originally designed by world-famous golf architect A. W. Tillinghast and the layout includes all of his trademark features of great greens and fairways, coupled with the ideal blend of risk and reward.

Bandon Crossings

Bandon Crossings is a Heathland golf course like the great British courses. They have light sandy, acidic soil; typically have heather, gorse and bracken; are near, but not on, the ocean; and are a little hillier than many pure links courses. Bandon Crossing is NOT part of the famous Bandon Dunes Resort.

Baywood Greens

Described as the "Augusta of the North,” Baywood Greens is a visually spectacular golf course. Honored with the #1 ranking by Golf Digest's Best in State ranking for 2011-2012 and deemed one of the 50 best courses for women by Golf Magazine for Women. It features Woodside and Waterside nines.

Bear Trace at Harrison Bay State Park

Designed by Jack Nicklaus, the course is surrounded by both water and heavily wooded land. Although water touches 12 fairways, there is more than sufficient room to play safely. Most greens are open in front, which makes the course more user-friendly for high-handicap players and allows run-up shots.

Bell Nob Golf Course

Municipal course in Gillette, Wyoming. Golf Week rated Bell Nob as the third-best course in the state in 2022.

Belvedere Golf Club

Belvedere isn’t long by modern standards, but the challenge lies in the short game around the dynamic green complexes, which features subtle undulations, ridges and slopes that fall off to chipping areas. The course opened in 1927, and soon became a respected tournament venue.

Bethpage Black

The Black Course at Bethpage State Park needs no introduction. Home of the 2002 and 2009 U.S. Open Championships, it is the crown jewel of public golf on Long Island and one of the most feared and revered courses – public or private – in the U.S.
