Moose Run - Creek Course

The Creek Course is considered the most challenging golf course in the state. It's the longest golf course in Alaska at 7,324 yards from the back tees, and has the longest single hole, the par 5, number 11 at 640 yards. As you might expect from the name, don't be surprised to encounter moose.

Newport National Golf Club

Newport National, which started out as a landscape nursery, is now deemed the “Number One Public Access Course in New England” by New England Golf Monthly. This links-style course offers beautiful vistas of the Atlantic Ocean and the Sakonnet Passage. It will remind you of the great courses of Ireland.

Normandy Shores Golf Club

Normandy Shores Golf Club is a historic municipal course located on an island in Miami Beach. Opened in 1941, it features challenging water hazards and scenic tropical landscapes providing an enjoyable yet testing layout.

North Palm Beach Golf Course

This Jack Nicklaus design takes advantage of the course’s native sand dunes, and features elevation changes rarely found in South Florida. It has generous fairways and undulateding, well-bunkered greens. In addition to the unique topography, several holes wind along the Intracoastal Waterway.

Northwood Golf Club

This is a 9-hole golf course built along the Russian River in a grove of giant redwood trees. The course was designed by Dr. Alister MacKenzie, famous for designing Augusta National and Cypress Point. Good luck avoiding hitting the redwoods on the course's narrow fairways.

Occano

Bordering the Albemarle Sound, Occano boasts an award-winning Arnold Palmer designed course. The course is in a private community, but is open for public play. It features stunning water views and offers seven tee placements to test golfers.

Old Works Golf Club

Old Works Golf Course is a Jack Nicklaus signature design built on the grounds of an old copper smelter. The dramatic layout weaves through slag piles, and mining relics.

Pacific Grove Golf Links

Located near some of the best and most expensive golf courses in the world, on Monterey Bay, this short municipal course is a bargain for the area. The front 9 offers glimpses of Monterey Bay on fairways framed by Cypress trees, and an ocean-side back 9 cuts through windswept dunes.

Palatka Golf Club

Golf in Florida isn't cheap, but this historic short course is a bargain. It was designed by Donald Ross in 1925. In a natural, clutter-free environment, the holes gently tumble over the sandy ridges and wrap the tranquil woods of Ravine Gardens State Park.
